ABOUT TFC

Tekkers Futsal Club is a USYF Club Affiliate that gives players the opportunity to train and play in tight, small spaces throughout the winter months, allowing them to grow their technical abilities and compete at a high level during the offseason.

Our TFC teams compete in some of the most elite futsal events in the Midwest, providing players with the chance to compete against top-level talent and continue developing their technical skills throughout the winter months

Season Length: Mid November - Spring Break

Trainings: 2 trainings scheduled a week (HS 1x a week)

Competitions: Select - teams will compete in a minimum of 2 tournaments outside of their league competition. HS - A-la-carte

League Options: Heartland Futsal League and/or Des Moines Futsal League

Price point: $900 range. (Tournaments a-la-carte)

Tekkers Futsal Club (TFC) | Academy 7U-8U

Core Concepts Throughout the Season

This program builds a real foundation in futsal — skills that translate directly to the outdoor game:

  • Technique for ball striking

  • 1v1 dribbling ability

  • Movement after a pass and off the ball

  • Futsal-specific positioning and decision making

Our goal is simple: teach the fundamentals, and build a genuine love for futsal that pays off when these players step into the 9U/10U Select years.

Structured Game Days

Every other week, one of the two weekly sessions becomes a structured game — with referees and coaches on the sideline. Before each game week, families will receive roster groupings so players compete against others at a comparable skill level, ensuring the right environment to grow and be challenged.

Players can expect 7-8 games over the season.

Travel

This program is designed to be family-friendly. There's no extensive travel — everything takes place right here in the Des Moines area. No weekends away, no major tournament trips. Just consistent, quality development all winter long.

The Big Picture

This program is about laying the groundwork. Our hope is that by the time these players reach their 9U/10U Select years, they arrive with the technical foundation and futsal IQ to compete at a high level — whether that's a Kansas City league, or a regional qualifying tournament.

Who This Is For

We want to be upfront: this is not a recreational program. It's for players who are hungry to grow, love to compete, and want to use the winter months to sharpen their game.

There are no formal tryouts, this is an academy setting, but we're asking families to self-select thoughtfully. We're looking for a focused group of motivated players. If your child has that competitive drive and a desire to improve, this is the right fit.

Introducing the U7/U8 Futsal Academy

We are thrilled to announce that this winter, for the very first time, Tekkers Futsal Club will launch an Academy program for our U7 and U8 players. This is something we've been looking forward to building, and we can't wait to get these kids on the court.

Program Overview

The U7/U8 Academy will run December through the end of February, with players training twice per week. Sessions will be led by Tekkers Futsal Club Select and High School staff.

  • Season Timeline December through the end of February.

    • Training nights will be confirmed soon.

  • Training Schedule Two high-intensity sessions per week led by a designated TFC staff coach to ensure consistency in development.

Our experience with Tekkers Futsal Club has been outstanding. Our children have always played soccer and were somewhat familiar with futsal, but learning the game at a higher level through TFC has been incredibly beneficial. WHY Tekkers futsal club?

Tekkers Futsal club gives players an opportunity to train in a highly competitive environment and develop their on the ball footskills throughout the winter months.

what tournaments will we play in?

Each team will participate in different tournaments depending on the level of the team. We will communicate with individual teams on which tournaments we will compete in. Expect to compete in a regional qualifying event and a local tournament.

Our philosophy revolves around the belief that technical mastery and ability to read the game quickly is essential in becoming a top-level player. The importance of creating your own space and being comfortable with the ball at your feet is our main goal at TFC. We want players to have transferable skills to the outdoor season.

who is coaching for tFc?

Our staff will be our current Tekkers staff as well as club coaches from around the area. We will announce coaching groups for each age group prior to the season. For more questions about coaching staff please reach out us.
